Traveling is one of the activities I enjoy the most. I look forward to preparing for each trip, ensuring everything is in order - from my hair and nails to my outfits and checklist, as I hate to forget anything. I always carry a book, but I seldom read it, as I'm usually engaged in conversation with friends or strangers.
What I find more exciting is traveling with friends. We make plans the night before, and everything becomes humorous. One memorable trip was to Ghana, which was made special by the company I kept - I was in good company.
I also remember my road trip to Cote d'Ivoire, which I can't forget anytime soon. After preparing, I set out early to the park, where I took a bus from Nigeria to Cote d'Ivoire in a black one-piece bodysuit, which I later regretted wearing due to the challenges it posed during restroom breaks. Initially a solo trip, it turned into a friendship group trip as bonds were formed.
I vividly recall the stranger I met on the bus, who has now become my buddy. We had conversations for nearly 24 hours, discussing topics like careers, relationships, fate, future plans, and more. We traveled through Nigeria🇳🇬 , Benin 🇧🇯 , Togo 🇹🇬 , and Ghana 🇬🇠until we reached Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮.
The memory of the coastal drive remains etched in my mind - the beautiful scenery of the ocean, beach, fishermen, and coconut trees swaying in the wind.
I felt a surge of peace and tranquility. I wish I could put these memories into pictures and show you. At night, the cruise ships and distant lights added to the beauty. While road trips can be uncomfortable, I'd definitely do it again, hoping for luck to sit with a cool person and get a comfortable bus.
Traveling gives me the most pleasure because I learn, form new ideas, experience different cultures, and have fun
